Welcome to amazonia.tours. By accessing or using our website at amazonia.tours (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, guides, organization owners, and anyone else who accesses or uses the Platform.

By creating an account or using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

amazonia.tours is a travel directory platform that connects tourists with local travel services across South America, including Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The Platform provides:

• A directory of travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, guide services, transportation providers, activities, and tourism centers
• Profiles for local guides showcasing their specialties, languages, and certifications
• A trust network where users can recommend and vouch for other users and services
• Contact information that redirects users to external communication channels (WhatsApp, phone, email)
• Media uploads including images and video links to showcase services

The Platform is an informational directory only. We do not process bookings, payments, or transactions of any kind. All arrangements between tourists and service providers happen outside of our Platform.

To access certain features, you must create an account using our supported authentication methods (OAuth via Auth0). When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Maintain only one account per person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person or group
• Manipulate the trust network or recommendation system through fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without our written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or other users' experience
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by us
• Create false or misleading listings, profiles, or recommendations
• Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures

The Platform, including its design, logos, trademarks, code, and original content, is owned by amazonia.tours and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Platform without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Platform, subject to the license granted in Section 4.

If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed on the Platform, please contact us with details of the alleged infringement.

The Platform contains links and redirects to third-party services, including but not limited to:

• WhatsApp, phone, and email for contacting service providers
• Auth0 for authentication
• Supabase for data storage
• External websites linked by organizations and guides

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service you access through our Platform.

amazonia.tours is a directory and informational platform. Please be aware that:

• We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listings, guide profiles, or recommendations on the Platform
• We do not facilitate, process, or guarantee any bookings, reservations, or transactions between users and service providers
• Contact buttons on the Platform redirect you to external communication channels — any agreements you make with service providers are solely between you and them
• Recommendations and vouches in our trust network reflect individual user opinions and do not constitute endorsements by us
• Information about services, prices, availability, and qualifications may be outdated or inaccurate

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, amazonia.tours, its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Platform.

We are not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from your interactions with service providers, guides, organizations, or other users found through the Platform. This includes but is not limited to the quality of services, personal safety, financial disputes, or any other matter arising from arrangements made outside the Platform.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless amazonia.tours, its directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your content submitted to the Platform, or (d) your interactions with other users or third-party service providers.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Platform and delete your account.

You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also be entitled to invoke the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
